Lynk21
Privacy policy
Effective September 7, 2026. This page is the privacy policy for the Lynk21 apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and for this website.
Who we are
Lynk21 provides a private chat app for Android, iOS, and desktop.
What we do not do
- We cannot read your chats. They are encrypted on your device before they are sent.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not show ads or use your chats to build an advertising profile.
- We do not store your chats. A Google identifier and a payment record are used only to check payment, and they are not tied to messages.
What stays on your device
Your chats stay on your device. We do not store them on our servers.
Account and billing
Lynk21 does not have its own accounts. A Google identifier and a payment record are used only to check payment. They are not linked to messages or used to track what you send.
Permissions
- Notifications: if you allow them, the device gets a push token so it can be told that encrypted mail is waiting. The notice does not include chat contents.
- Camera and photos: only when you scan a setup code or attach a photo you choose to send.
- We do not use your contacts, location, or microphone for the chat service.
Diagnostics
If error reporting is enabled, we store an anonymous identifier for that device so we can group crash reports. It is not your name, Google sign-in, or anything from a chat. Reports otherwise contain only a support code and the app version.
Data deletion
Your chats stay on your device. We do not hold them, so there is nothing to delete. Uninstalling Lynk21 removes them from that device.
The Google identifier and payment record used to check that you have paid are kept so the app can stay unlocked. These are not deleted.
Encrypted mail on the relay is kept only so it can be delivered, then removed. Invite codes expire.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Lynk21 after that date means the updated policy applies.
